One of Makati’s well-kept secrets for donuts lies in a little alley along Chino Roces— one literally called The Alley… at Karrivin, that is. And in that alley lies numerous art galleries and restaurants, some of which include a panaderya or a kiosk serving fried chicken. Go deep down, though, and you’ll find one that eerily stands out: Poison Coffee and Donuts.
The complete opposite of the usual well-lit, Instagrammable coffee shops; Poison is a coffee and doughnut shop opened by Chef Miko Aspiras and other partners. Their menu is a straightforward one featuring old-school coffee blends and curated— almost artisan-like— donuts with flavors that change from time to time. Crowd favorites include Salted Dark Chocolate and Boston Cream, a donut filled with vanilla mousseline and homemade marshmallow topped with dark chocolate.

Craving for these donuts? Not to worry— they offer delivery and takeout during the quarantine. Donuts aren’t the only things on the menu, either. They’ve got ramen on their list, too. And not just any ramen— it’s Wrong Ramen! While it may seem like an odd combination, Wrong Ramen and Poison joined forces months after Wrong Ramen closed down their BGC branch. Due to popular demand (and the never-ending craving for ramen), this restaurant made a return appearance during the quarantine. Here’s what they’ve got lined up:

Now, going back to their donuts. Poison makes them fresh, and in small batches to guarantee its freshness, so depending on the demand, stocks may be limited. Plus, you’ll need to order a minimum of six donuts. Their menu can be found below:
