Iya Villania couldn’t help but share her reaction to a stranger’s comment about her looks while out doing errands.
On Instagram, the television host posted a photo of herself as she recounted the conversation she overheard between two security guards. “Nandiyan si Iya Villania (Iya Villania is there),” one of the guards who saw her told the other. “Mukha siyang lalaki (She looks like a man).”
What prompted the guard’s comment seemed to be her short hair which she started sporting in November of last year.
Though she was surprised by the guard’s description, she revealed that she didn’t take much offense to it as she posted a smiling selfie on her Instagram Stories afterward, asking her fans and friends: “Pogi ba (Am I handsome)?”
In March 2021, Iya opened up about how much she loved how she looks with her pixie cut. “I’ve always wanted to try short hair! Glad I finally worked up the courage to!” she gushed in an Instagram post at the time.
“If you’ve been wanting to try short hair but afraid of looking like a boy, JUST DO IT! It feels great and no matter what, you’re gonna find a way to make it work anyway! So if you want to try something new that you’ve always been afraid to do, DO IT NOW! It’s the best time to!” she added. “Note: The hubby now has longer hair than me!”
