Another thing I’ll commend about the restaurant is that its drinks are really good. My husband ordered a big glass of Hoegaarden, but we were pleasantly surprised to see just how big the glass is. It’s huge – trust us!
Kalamansi Mojito – Php250
We also had their highly recommended original concoction – the kalamansi mojito. The familiar Filipino flavor of calamansi mixed with alcohol and mint is really refreshing.
Towards the end of our meal, we toured the rest of the restaurant. It turns out there are three floors and each floor hsd a different wall decoration that alludes to time.
The top floor is ideal for large groups because the tables there are the circular types designed for big groups. They also have rooms that can be rented. The top floor can also accommodate video karaoke sessions and hosts their aquarium where some of the fishes they cook for the restaurant stay.
It was an overall good, new experience to try authentic Sichuan cuisine. I now know that it’s on the spicy side, not the salty one. It was definitely the break from the usual dishes that I was looking for. I want to try out their other dishes, too, but I think my friends and I can agree that the next time we go, we will bring more people along.
The dishes are huge and if we want to try more, we will need more people with us because the orders we had left us full for the rest of the evening (but we’re not complaining). The food is good, the service is excellent, and the discoveries we made as foodies were exciting. What’s even better is that they’re open until late – 2am!
