PLM Maskom goes beyond the current this Wave 2016

Continuing the legacy of the pioneer event last year, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila’s fifth batch of public relations major Hiraya will mount Wave 2016: The Maskom Music and Arts Festival on March 12 at Nayong Filipino in Luneta Park.

PLM Maskom goes beyond the current this Wave 2016

Originally aimed at generating awareness on the different communication disciplines and debunking stereotypes against communication majors, this year’s campaign cum year-end celebration is sending an important message that encourages communication students to continually raise their level of aspiration in terms of small personal achievements, school-level milestones and future careers.

This year’s Wave music and arts festival carries the catchphrase ‘beyond the current’ and will showcase talents and creative works of students in film, theatre, music, poetry and visual arts. Expected to promote camaraderie and creativity, the event will also inspire students to push through the limits they fear to cross in a true millennial fashion.

“The year has given a lot of ups and downs for us mass communication students. This event will once again be a testament of who we are as communication majors and that we will push through every limit we encounter until we’re beyond it.” said Rachelle Tan, Wave 2016 project head.

The festival will culminate in good old fashioned school-fair-themed activities and celebration.
