Balesin Island Club is located southeast of Polillo, Quezon Province, and is described as a “private paradise”

Balesin Island Club is an exclusive island members-only resort owned by Alphaland. It is described by its website as a “a 500 hectare tropical island paradise with 7.3 kilometers of pristine white sand beaches.” Members get 14 nights a year, and can stay in any of the seven themed “villages” inspired by the world’s most famous beach destinations like Balesin, Bali, St. Tropez, Toscana, Mykonos, Costa Del Sol, and Phuket. As of February 17, 2013, the website stated the annual membership fee starts at P3 million, with monthly increases of P100,000. Due to its pricey fees, only the privileged can access this resort. In fact, non-members have to be accompanied by a member if they want to visit.

There is no word on who the “celebrity-politician” couple is, but netizens have reacted negatively to the situation. Some speculated on who this couple is.
