A Pinoy martial artist, Muny Munoz, won the gold medal in the Pan Jiu-jitsu championship light featherweight division held in University of California last March, according to GMA News Online.
Munoz won over Brazilian Jaime Villar Molina in the semis with a score of 2-0.
He advanced to the finals where he beat fellow Pinoy martial artist Eric Abesames with a score of 8-0.

Last year, Munoz took home the silver medal in the World Masters competition. Prior to this, he pursued a career in boxing and mixed martial arts until he got hooked on Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
