Filipino designer Andre Soriano’s creation turned heads at the recent 57th Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California!
Why, you ask?
It’s all thanks to this rather bold and unique dress worn by singer Joy Villa to the event!
The singer definitely made a statement as she walked down the red carpet in an orange ball gown-esque dress fashioned out of a plastic barrier, commonly used in construction sites.
Definitely a first for the uber-famous music awards show!
The singer even posted a couple of photos showing off her look on her Instagram account.

According to a report by ABS-CBN news, Andre Soriano said that he was so glad that Joy Villa was so confident, and that he told her to prepare to be famous after the Grammys.
Andrei Soriano was part of the reality show “Style to Rock” produced by Rihanna in 2013, and finished 7th among 50 contestants.
The ABS-CBN report also says that he is currently preparing for his show in March at the Los Angeles Fashion Week.
Hooray for Filipino talent getting noticed!
