Last October 16, Parokya ni Edgar launched their newest album, Pogi Years Old, at Eastwood Central Plaza. Their previous studio album was released 6 years ago, so a lot of excited fans dropped by to see their favorite band bet back in the recording game.
I was actually worried that the launch would be cancelled because typhoon Karen hit the Philippines, but it seems that the prayers of PNE fans were answered as there wasn’t even a shower during the event.
As a tradition, PNE starts it with Buloy
Present during the launch was Chito, Gab, Dindin, Dar and Vinch. Buwi, unfortunately, is not in the country as he returned to the US to spend time with his kids. Worry not though; Buwi is still the official bassist of the band. Pao Bernaldo of Moonstar88 stepped in as bassist for the event.
Vinch comes in for Picha Pie
Parokya played a number of their most popular songs like Buloy, Picha Pie, Para Sa’yo, The Yes Yes Show, and their carrier single for Pogi Years Old, Lagi Mong Tatandaan.
Vinch, up close with the fans!
“Umuwi na kayo, tapos na ko kumanta”
It was great seeing Parokya rock the crowd and have fun at the same time. It was also good to see the impact Parokya had on their fans. Their music transcends generations as I saw parents with their teenage kids attending the launch.
Share this “Happy Chito” and your crush will like you too. 😛
Dar, ripping up some chords!
Chito offers water to the thirsty fans.
Vinch backs Chito up in Bagsakan
Gab singing Your Song
Wag nating kalimutan kung saan nagsimula
Keep on rocking, man!
Chito thanks the fans
Keep rocking Parokya ni Edgar! Please support them by buying their album or listening over Spotify.
