LRT-1 Doroteo Jose station just got its much needed makeover to make travel for commuters more comfortable. The administration behind the train system, Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), has now fixed the escalators, added X-ray machines, and put new decorations to improve the station’s ambiance.
LRMC inaugurated the new station, which links LRT-1 and LRT-2.
In addition to the upgrade, the new design of the station gives emphasis on safety. Moreover, they made it more commuter-friendly even for PWDs.
In the coming months, they plan to upgrade United Nations, Gil Puyat, Abad Santos, Pedro Gil, and R. Papa stations. LRMC plans to improve the 20 stations and train cars of LRT-1 in the next 18 months.
Have you seen the upgrade? What do you think about these improvements?
