Just in time for the weekend, the first part of Money Heist Season 5 has just dropped on Netflix. Whether you’ve already started watching it, have already finished it, or are still gearing up for the wild ride that it is; here’s a little something we asked Pedro Alonso during a recent Zoom interview that we had prior to the new season’s release.

I don’t know about you, but Berlin has always been my favorite character in the show… which made me wonder: who is Berlin’s favorite character? Pedro shares that he thinks one of the reasons why this show blew up was due to the mix of different characters in the show. “If one role had a story, it wouldn’t be the same,” he points out. “All the members are necessary to create this one family.”
While Pedro appreciates that some people like one character more than the other – like me hehe – he thinks it wouldn’t be the same if that was character was on their own. “This mix is what makes the miracle that is Money Heist possible,” he adds, sharing that the actors have all become his family.

Even in terms of the actors, Pedro shares that he has had incredible moments with all of them and hopes that everyone will honor the link that they have in the future. He then takes a bit of a break and admits he isn’t sure how to answer the question before sharing that he has mentioned how much he loves Alba Flores (Nairobi) several times in the past. “She’s an intelligent woman,” he raves. “She is a really prepared woman with a brutal compromise in many aspects of life with an incredible talent.”

Who else does he love? He says he loves Rodrigo de la Serna (Palermo) because he’s an incredible actor and an amazing human being. “I have also played several sequences with Alvaro Morte (The Professor) that I will never forget in my whole life,” he reminisces. He also shares that Ursula Corbero (Tokio) is very funny and very brave and that he admires both Jaime Lorento (Denver) and Miguel Herran (Rio) and loves Paco Tous (Moscow). “I have to say I’m going to miss Enrique Arce, who plays Arturito, in terms of the level of my feelings,” he laughs.
