PBBM to Issue Executive Order for Voluntary Use of Face Mask Indoors

At a Press Briefing in Malacañang on October 25, Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco announced that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos JR is set to issue an Executive Order to make face masks voluntary for indoor spaces.

“As a result of the Cabinet meeting this morning, it was agreed that the President would be issuing an executive order per the IATF recommendation to make indoor mask wearing also voluntary all over the Philippines with few exceptions,” Frasco said.

Though most indoor spaces will not require a face mask, crowded areas like public transportation will still require it for minimum health standards. Medical places like clinics and hospitals will also still require the wearing of face masks.
