PAL is One of the ‘Most Dependable Airlines in the World’

PAL Included as One of the 'Most Dependable Airlines in the World'

The summer is the best time to travel, and you’re in luck if you’re flying Philippine Airlines (PAL), because it has recently been tagged as one of the 22 most dependable airlines in the world. PAL was tagged number 21 on the list, with a 53% on-time percentage.

The list was compiled by travel website WanderBat. The airlines were ranked according to on-time performance, low costs to check bags, and the average age of an airline fleet. According to the website:

The airline has been reaping the benefits of a growing wave of tourism, both as more foreign visitors enter the country and as more Filipinos travel abroad.

The carrier recently brought back service between Manila and New York City after an 18-year break and is planning to expand elsewhere in North America, according to Business Travel News.

The list also mentions PAL’s fleet size (51), number of destinations (40+), and the average age of fleet (4.2 years). PAL joins industry heavyweights like Japan’s Japan Airlines, Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific, Singapore’s Singapore Airlines, Dubai’s Emirates, and Qatar’s Qatar Airways.
