Manny Pacquiao may have needed to wear two hats before, one as a famous boxer and the other as senator of the Philippines, but with his upcoming fight against Jesse Vargas on November 5, he’s chosen to focus on the sport that he loves for the moment.
It also helps that the Senate is now out of session, which means that the People’s Champ can place his attention fully on training for a few weeks.
Freddie Roach, Pacquiao’s long-time trainer, has also said that this is the best he’s ever seen the fighter, who temporarily retired last year, adding that he’s seeing some of the “old” Manny Pacquiao back in action.
But will this break from politics last for long? According to Pacquiao:
“I’m enjoying working hard in the Senate while performing my job as a boxer.”
Thoughts on this? Are you looking forward to Pacquiao’s upcoming fight?
