The Health Department broke down the total tally of healthcare workers infected with COVID-19. Of the 2,067 cases, there are 759 nurses, 631 physicians, 129 nursing assistants, 72 medical technologists, and 39 radiologic technologists.

The remaining 437 patients consist of other medical personnel such as administrative staff, utility workers, and barangay health workers.

From the total count of infected healthcare workers, 1,389 are active cases meaning they are currently experiencing the illness. 1,026 of the patients have mild symptoms, 356 are asymptomatic, and 7 have severe symptoms.

As of Tuesday, the DOH reported a total of 11,350 cases in the country with 2,106 recoveries and 751 deaths. This means that healthcare workers make 19% of the country total or 1 out of 5 cases.

However, the DOH maintains that fewer healthcare workers are testing positive for COVID-19.
