The Culinary Side of One Tagaytay Place
Now we step into the sweet culinary side of One Tagaytay Place, courtesy of Azalea Restaurant 🙂 This exquisite restaurant is famous in Tagaytay City for its mix of local and international food favorites courtesy of their expert group of cooks and chefs. The Mongolian Buffet, the crispy fried Tawilis, and the Tawilis Pizza are what truly made Azalea popular and we were lucky to try them out!
Kicked-off lunch with Azalea’s signature appetizer and Tagaytays’ best: crispy fried tawilis for Php225!
For those who are unfamiliar with tawilis, it’s a kind of sardinella that can only be found in Taal Lake. (Thus the price.)
Another great starter is the Ensaladang Bagnet! This Php298 dish has crispy fried pork belly with tomatoes, red onions and garden greens in bagoong vinaigrette.
You may also try the Pumpkin Soup, a puree of pumpkin topped with fresh croutons, for only Php95.
Oh, their famous Kesong Puti and Tawilis Pizza is definitely a MUST-TRY, as well! For Php350, you can try out this thin-crust delight with crispy fried tawilis on pesto sauce, topped with bitter greens and kesong puti (white cheese). Bhe, ang sarap nito talaga.
While eating, we also learned that One Tagaytay Place has a nice program for Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) or Tourism students. It’s called the “Stay and Learn” program where they get some students to become trainees/interns to get hands-on experience about hotel operations, hotel food and beverage management and others.
Now, can I get some ‘digital hands’ from HRM students who’d like to get an internship at this hotel? 🙂
To continue…
The Cajun Chicken,a spice-rubbed chicken served with roasted potato and cheese sauce, is also a must-try at Php250.
As a fan of Japanese, I was very happy to see Torikatsu on the menu! It’s a deep-fried breaded chicken at Php225 with shredded cabbage and it’s even more enjoyable here with 3 different kinds of katsu sauce!
An international offering, I especially could not forget their Norwegian Salmon Steak, salmon fillet served on cabbage mushroom duxelle and grilled vegetables with sabayon sauce. Priced at Php450, the price is just right since Norwegian salmon is generally quite pricey.
Their NEWEST offering on the sweeter side of their menu: a slice of Belgian Chocolate Eruption Cake with a beautiful side of mango and vanilla ice cream. At Php250 per person, you can get this sweet delight along with UNLIMITED MOKAFLOR LINEA BLU COFFEE and an AZALEA MUG ! My friend, Jielene, a certified coffee LOVER, really recommended their coffee because of its unique taste.

Azalea is also popular for their Mongolian lunch and dinner buffets, which you can now avail of at Php399 nett per person EVERYDAY! This includes free use of their swimming pool and gym, 20% discounts on all of their beverages, 10% off at O’Spa and many more discounts 😮 Prior reservation is required to guarantee a seat, though. You don’t have to be staying at One Tagaytay Place to enjoy this feast, either. So, when in Tagaytay, make sure to catch it!
Azalea makes sure that their premium prices are met by premium offerings and excellent service 🙂 It is also open for walk-in guests from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Thank you so much to Ms. Raizel, Ms. Nadia, and Sir JR for the company!
