You’ve probably swooned over Hyo-seop’s charismatic performance in dramas like Business Proposal, where he charmed us with his playful CEO portrayal, or felt the raw emotion in Dr. Romantic 2; so you know he has the range and depth to embody Dok-ja’s complex mix of ordinary guy and reluctant savior. Hyo-seop has a knack for bringing quiet intensity to his characters, which feels perfect for the observant and strategic Dok-ja.
Joining Hyo-seop in the Omniscient Reader: The Prophet cast is the ever-talented Lee Min-ho as Yoo Joong-hyuk. Need I say more?
This legendary actor, who has graced our screens in iconic dramas like Boys Over Flowers, The Heirs, and the more recent When the Stars Gossip, is set to portray the novel’s protagonist within the story-within-a-story, the powerful and skilled Yoo Joong-hyuk. The wonderful Chae Soo-bin is also part of the Omniscient Reader: The Prophet cast as Yoo Sang-ah.
Soo-bin has consistently impressed us with her versatility, whether it’s in the heartwarming romance of Where Stars Land or the determined spirit she showed in I Am Not a Robot. As Yoo Sang-ah, who becomes one of Dok-ja’s key allies, you can expect Soo-bin to bring warmth, resilience, and a strong sense of loyalty to the character.
Next on the list of the Omniscient Reader: The Prophet cast members is the incredibly versatile Shin Seung-ho stepping into the role of Lee Hyun-sung.
Seung-ho has proven his ability to portray a wide range of characters, from the stoic crown prince in Alchemy of Souls to the loyal and determined soldier in D.P. His imposing physique and ability to convey inner strength make him a fantastic choice for the steadfast and protective Lee Hyun-sung.

While many know Jisoo for her incredible talent as a singer and performer, she has also shown her acting chops in the drama Snowdrop. In the webtoon, Lee Ji-hye is an ex-high school student who idolizes Yoo Joong-hyuk and without giving too much away, I’m eager to see Jisoo bring her unique charm and presence to this complex character. Her previous role in Snowdrop showcased her ability to portray emotional depth, and I have no doubt she’ll captivate audiences once again.
With such a stellar cast bringing to life a story as imaginative and thrilling as Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, Omniscient Reader: The Prophet is shaping up to be an absolute must-watch. The blend of a unique, apocalyptic plot grounded in a familiar web novel narrative combined with the incredible talent of these actors has all the ingredients for a truly unforgettable cinematic experience.
