A new animated adventure across the seas and skies awaits us this month. Sun Chaser is making its way to our screens at last, and its star-studded cast has us all beaming with Pinoy pride.
Many Filipinos first learned about Sun Chaser last year, when it was still a working draft to be pitched at the Annecy International Animation Film Market (MIFA). Turns out, greatness has always been in the cards for this imaginative tale, as it won the competition’s prestigious Animation du Monde prize and evolved into a full-fledged series.

Award-winning Filipino storytellers Bobby Pontillas and Bernard Badion brought the show to fruition with an exceptional team of young animators, writers, and producers. Their labor of love has sparked hope among their creative kababayans worldwide, and will continue to do so thanks to its talented cast.
On June 23, 2026, we’ll finally meet Jordan, the “chosen one” of Sun Chaser, whose summer vacation at his lola’s house escalates into an epic adventure of friendship, courage, magic, and odes to Filipino folklore.

We can’t contain our excitement to watch Manny Jacinto take on the role of Jordan in Sun Chaser. After accidentally summoning a mystical portal full of powerful monsters against his lola’s orders, he’ll soon realize that being a certified pasaway might’ve just unveiled a life-altering prophecy.
With his lola and best friends by his side, Jordan will go to great lengths to protect his motherland and fulfill his daunting duties as the island’s newly appointed Spirit Guardian. Will he close the portal and restore peace between humans, monsters, and everything in between? We’ll have to stay tuned to find out.

A fearless adventurer, a loyal bestie, and an unapologetic foodie all in one? That’s Zoe for you. She and Jordan are about to embark on the most action-packed quest of their lives, and we’re more than ready to tag along.
Zoe can’t go anywhere without her map, some food for the road, and arnis, her weapon of choice. AC Bonifacio is the heart and soul of this spunky character, who’ll definitely become a new favorite among young Filipinas from all walks of life.

There’s never a dull moment with Jordan’s zealous twin cousins, who are bound to have us in stitches throughout every episode. With La Bamba’s overflowing confidence and Sessa’s passion for filmmaking, nothing can get in between them and their larger-than-life dream of reaching EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony) status.
KD Estrada is La Bamba, a yapper through and through who isn’t afraid to speak his mind. And Sessa, voiced by Zia Dantes, firmly believes that everything is content—even in near-death scenarios.

We can’t wait to meet more fantastical beings in the Sun Chaser universe as the show progresses.
There’s the villainous Necrofrost (Dingdong Dantes), a colossal beast over ten times Jordan’s height, and JR (JR de Guzman), a creature we don’t know much about yet, but someone we reckon will bring smiles to our faces without fail.
