NewJeans has launched a new Instagram account separate from their official Instagram account managed by ADOR. On December 14, the K-pop girl group opened an Instagram account under the username “jeanzforfree.”

In their first post, they shared a white background featuring five bunny emojis, accompanied by a caption stating that they had prepared pre-paid meals at various restaurants and a cafe for any K-pop fan with a light stick who participated in the impeachment protest of South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol.

In a series of Instagram Stories, NewJeans confirmed that the account belongs to them. The five members have also been posting snaps of them on the new account.
As of writing, the account has already garnered 2.6 million followers. Meanwhile, their Instagram account, managed by ADOR, remains active.
This came a few weeks after NewJeans announced their decision to terminate their exclusive contract with HYBE and its subsidiary, ADOR on November 29, emphasizing that the agencies “haveย no desire at all to listen” to their requests.
NewJeans sent aย certification of contents to ADOR on November 13 to rectify alleged violations of their exclusive contract in 14 days. However, ADOR noted that the exclusive contracts between them and NewJeans remain valid. Earlier this month, ADOR filed a lawsuit to reaffirm the validity of NewJeans’ exclusive contract.
