So far scoring a whopping 96% rate on Rotten Tomatoes, War for the Planet of the Apes looks like it’s going to be worthy of a trip to the theater. The upcoming science fiction is the third installment to the reboot of the Planet of the Apes franchise and will star Andy Serkis and Woody Harrelson.
As for the story, the movie’s synopsis on its page writes:
Two years after Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Caesar and his apes have been at war against humans. As the apes start suffering heavy losses, and Caesar’s wife Cornelia and son Blue Eyes are killed by the soldiers, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts in order to face the Colonel, a face off which will determine the fate of both species and Earth’s future.
