New Airport Express Buses Are Here: Commuting to and from NAIA Now More Convenient

Hallelujah! It’s been on the list of commuters’ woes for so long now. When you need to catch a flight, reaching the airport (or also going home from there) is a whole travel story on its own. The easiest way to travel to and from the airport has always been through renting a cab or booking a ride through mobile apps, but with Manila traffic, we all know how costly that can sometimes get.

But for most of us who would very much welcome cheaper options, your prayers had been finally answered.

Netizen Kons Koh shares a story of his own experience riding the “UBE Express” on his Facebook page. This is what he wrote:

“Tried the UBE Express bus from Ayala Center to NAIA 3 last week. I sent a PM to their FB page the day prior to my trip, and their response was swift. They picked me up at Glorietta 4 at 830am as scheduled, and they were constantly contacting me the few hours before 830 to check on my arrival status at Glorietta.

Turns out that I was the only passenger for that trip, so basically I had an entire bus as a taxi (or Uber). The bus were brand new (as evidenced by the unremoved plastic from the seats). The seat space was spacious and there is ample room for luggage.

Arrived at the airport within 20 minutes. Drop-off point was the bay after Bay 8 in the arrival area on the ground level, which was near to the passenger entry leading to escalators going to departure hall. Staff both at the bus and at the NAIA counters were courteous, amiable and professional.

All in all, worth the Php150 fare. Would definitely use it again in future trips to airport. With P2P service also available from Fairview and Trinoma to Glorietta 4, one can get to/from the airport in a cheaper, more comfortable and less hassle way.

Hoping that more people would use this service as it is definitely far better than any airport transport service that I have tried before. On certain aspects, it is even an even better service than private cars.”
