New 7 Wonders of the World – Underground River Puerto Princesa Palawan

When in Manila, consider visiting the one of the New 7 Wonders of the World – Underground River Puerto Princesa Palawan. The Underground River at Puerto Princesa Palawan Philippines was voted in 2012 by the global community as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World for being the longest navigable subterranean river on January 28, 2012. Prior to this it has also been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The Puerto Princesa Undergound River is located 50km north of Puerto Princesa and is expected to breach 1 million tourists by 2014. The staging point for our adventure was at Sheridan Beach Resort and Spa, the only 5 star hotel in the area located just 20 minutes away from the underground river. Other activities in the area include the Sabang Zipline, Mangrove Paddle Boat Tour, Palawan Bearcat and eating the local mangrove woodworm called Tamilok.

With the increasing number of tourists please make sure to book your Underground River Tour at least one month in advance through your resort or a local travel agency.

We will provide a more comprehensive guide in the future.
