In a photo she posted on Instagram, she informed fans that she would be working at a Makati milk tea shop and will be leaving a donation box for those who want to help out in the relief efforts.
“So many lost their homes and loved ones. They also don’t have access to water among so many other things… and so for my birthday I wanna ask for your help to send whatever amount you can to them. Come drop by and let me make you milktea and help me send whatever help we can to the people of Mindanao,” she said. “I’ll be here until 6PM. This will be the best gift. Sending my love and prayers to everyone affected. Thinking of you guys today.”
Provinces in Central and Eastern Mindanao were struck by three succeeding earthquakes in October: a magnitude 6.3 quake on October 16, then a second with a magnitude 6.6 on October 29, and the latest with a magnitude 6.5 on October 31.
As of writing, 21 deaths have been reported while thousands of residents remain displaced.
