The inaugural MICHELIN Guide Ceremony Manila and Environs & Cebu 2026 is officially taking place this October!

Scheduled for Thursday, October 30, at the Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts, the momentous evening will honor the country’s vibrant gastronomic scene and exceptional culinary talent.
The MICHELIN Guide returns with its signature one-night ceremony to unveil its restaurant selection for Manila, Cebu, and other nearby provinces. Guests will enjoy an exquisite welcome reception, an exciting awards presentation, and a celebratory cocktail curated by renowned chefs.
This exclusive, invitation-only event will also gather top chefs, restaurateurs, industry leaders, partners, and global media, spotlighting the Philippines’ rise as a world-class dining destination and inspiring collaboration within its vibrant culinary community.
At the ceremony, guests will witness the reveal of:
- The MICHELIN Guide Selected Restaurants
- The Bib Gourmand Selection
- The prestigious MICHELIN Stars
- The MICHELIN Guide Special Awards, honoring outstanding individuals across key areas of the industry.
Every establishment included in the selection is independently assessed by anonymous MICHELIN Guide inspectors. The five universal criteria are the following: based on five globally applied criteria: quality of ingredients, mastery of technique, harmony of flavors, personality of the chef through the cuisine, and consistency both over time and through the menu as a whole.
Following the ceremony, guests will be treated to a premium cocktail reception prepared by culinary talent chefs from across the region:
- Caprice (Three MICHELIN Stars, MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2025) by Chef Guillaume Galliot
- Dewakan (Two MICHELIN Stars, MICHELIN Guide Kuala Lumpur & Penang 2025) by Chef Darren Teoh
- Kasama (One MICHELIN Star, MICHELIN Guide Chicago 2025) the world’s first Filipino restaurant to receive a MICHELIN star, by Chef Tim Flores and Chef Genie Kwon
- VEA (One MICHELIN Star, MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2025) by Chef Vicky Cheng
- Newly awarded restaurants in the first Filipino selection
The much-awaited event will also be live-streamed via MICHELIN Guide Asia’s official YouTube channel.
More details and updates are yet to be announced.
In February, the MICHELIN Guide confirmed that they have officially started evaluating restaurants around the country for possible Michelin stars for the 2026 edition.
