‘Meteor Garden’ is Returning to Primetime TV — Here’s Where and When You Can Watch It!

Oh, baby, baby, baby… beloved Asianovela Meteor Garden is coming back to primetime television!

The 2018 Chinese remake of the Taiwanese classic will re-air on ABS-CBN as part of its Primetime Bida lineup starting Monday, May 4, before evening news show TV Patrol. It stars Shen Yue, Dylan Wang, Darren Chen, Caesar Wu, and Connor Leong.

The rerun of this remake comes amid the suspension of the filming and production of local television shows due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Both ABS-CBN and GMA Network had already begun re-airing its hit shows from the past back in March, including On The Wings of Love and Encantadia.

Meteor Garden first stole our hearts in 2003 when the 2001 original series, dubbed in Filipino, premiered locally on TV. It follows the story of a financially poor girl Dong Shancai who attends an elite university of wealthy students. She eventually clashes with the four most popular boys in school called the F4, composed of leader Dao Ming Si, Huaze Lei, Ximen, and Meizuo. But her persistence to stand up to them eventually leads Dao Ming Si to fall in love with her.
