When Floyd Mayweather was asked what he thought about Manny Pacquiao’s statement regarding same-sex marriage, saying that “mas masahol pa sa hayop ang tao,” this was what Mayweather said:
We should let people live their lives the way they want to live their lives. To each his own.

Pacquiao immediately apologized about his statement. He said:
I’m sorry for hurting people by comparing homosexuals to animals. Please forgive me for those I’ve hurt.
Despite this, Nike, who strongly supports the LGBT community, cut their ties with Pacquiao due to his stance on same-sex marriage.
