Many Filipinos had been very vocal about Mass Testing for COVID-19 and it’s starting to materialize.

According to Presidential Peace Adviser Carlito Galvez Jr., the government is already planning to start the mass testing for COVID-19 PUIs (Persons Under Investigation) and PUMs (Persons Under Monitoring) on April 14, 2020.

According to the PRC, they will be using two polymerase chain reaction (PCR) machines for the testing, which is said to produce 1,500 test results per day. They will also be using an automated Ribonucleic Acid (RNA) extraction machine.

“We’re not gonna give the test to anybody who does not show overt signs of COVID-19 but we’re gonna give the test to those who have symptoms,” said Senator Gordon.

He also shared that they are just starting with Quezon City because it has the most cases of COVID-19.
