Without mentioning specific names, the actress took to social media to reflect on dealing with mistakes, emphasizing the importance of taking full accountability.
“The pain and shame of a mistake can be the first step towards the best and wisest version of yourself,” she wrote. “Life is a marathon, not a sprint. Take full accountability, learn well, and finish strong.”
As of writing, the post has garnered over 60,000 reactions and 13,000 shares. While Maricar didn’t drop names, netizens linked it to Maris and Anthony, who are embroiled in cheating allegations. The controversy arose after Anthony’s ex-girlfriend, Jam Villanueva, posted alleged screenshots of intimate conversations between him and Maris.
Meanwhile, others pointed out that Maris and Anthony are facing struggles similar to those Maricar went through when she was involved in a video scandal with Hayden Kho in 2009. This led netizens to praise her for learning from her past mistakes and growing from the experience. She remained silent about the issue until she finally decided to talk about her healing journey through her self-titled book.
Both Maris and Anthony have publicly addressed the controversy and apologized.
