Anthony Jennings has spoken out for the first time about the controversy surrounding him and Maris Racal.

In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN on December 6, the actor issued an apology to Maris and his ex-girlfriend, Jam Villanueva.
“Sa lahat po ng mga nangyari noong nakaraang araw. Sa lahat po ng mga taong nasaktan ko, especially po si Maris saka si Jam,” he said.
“Humihingi ho ako ng tawad sa dalawang babae and sa mga lahat po ng mga nadamay ko rin po. Yun lamang po. Sorry po ulit.”
This came after Maris tearfully addressed their controversy, apologizing for her actions and revealing that Anthony had told her he had already ended his relationship with Jam during the early stages of their “brewing attraction,” which began in June.
“He would be very sweet to me. He would be such a gentleman to me. He would say things to me, he would tease me on the set in front of other people. We would tell all the people who were close to me that he was single,” the actress said.
“I would ask him, God knows I asked him, ‘Nagkabalikan ba kayo?’ He said no. ‘Do you still love her?’ He said no. He would say things na ako yung gusto niya and all. I really asked him so many times,” she added.
“God knows how many times I begged for a statement. I begged him to fix [it] ’cause I’m so tired of getting bashed. He said wait, wait for the right moment.”
Maris and Anthony were embroiled in controversy after Jam posted screenshots of their intimate conversations, which took place while she and the actor were still together, sparking cheating allegations.
