“They go through a very careful supervision in which we check the purity of the products used in the restaurant, the recipes, the idea, the concept to make sure that the experience of Spain that you are looking for is provided here,” said Spanish Embassy representative Ms. de la Varga.

“We’re very proud of Manduca Taberna for being the first restaurant in the Philippines to receive the Silver Seal certification. Our team will continue to do our best to deliver authentic Spanish dining experiences to the country,” said Chef Amado Garcia Fernandez, co-founder of Manduca Taberna.

The Restaurants from Spain certification program supports and recognizes initiatives worldwide that focus on authentic cuisine and produce from Spain, which guarantee the quality standards of these establishments. This would give consumers a particular standard of what Spain on a plate should look and taste like, giving a true Spanish experience.

Manduca Taberna is currently serving authentic Spanish dishes in its two branches: its flagship store in BGC Taguig and its new branch in One Ayala, Makati.
