A magnitude 5.4 earthquake jolted Davao del Sur on Tuesday, March 4, at 9:42 AM.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), its epicenter was located two kilometers southwest of Matanao, Davao del Sur. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The reported intensities are as follows:
Intensity V: Matanao and Magsaysay, Davao del Sur
Intensity IV: Kidapawan City, Cotabato; Malungon, Sarangani; Tampakan and Tupi, South Cotabato
Intensity III: Magpet, Cotabato; Davao City; General Santos City; Banga, South Cotabato; President Quirino and Columbio, Sultan Kudarat
Intensity II: Pikit, Cotabato; Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental; Kiamba, Sarangani; Surallah, Norala, Santo Niño, and T’boli, South Cotabato; Lambayong and Isulan, Sultan Kudarat
Intensity I: Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental; Nabunturan, Davao de Oro; Lake Sebu, South Cotabato; Esperanza, Kalamansig, and Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat
As of this writing, there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
