Having a hectic schedule can affect one’s health. Not just because of the stress it usually brings, but also because it often hinders people from having a regular workout routine. I am one of those people.
As a girl with a lot of things on her plate, I always find it difficult make time to take care of my body. So when I heard about the spinning craze that is going on, I decided to try it out for myself and went to go visit CycleHouse MNL. This spin studio in Pasig offers fun, yet effective and affordable workouts.
At first, spinning might seem like a fairly easy workout. I expected to breeze through a 55-minute class, but CycleHouse MNL taught me different. When I first entered the studio, I felt a bit intimidated because everyone else there seemed to already know their stuff. Good thing the staff and coaches in CycleHouse MNL were approachable and friendly, and helped guide me step-by-step into my spin experience. They even have clip-on shoes so you don’t fall off from your bike!

CycleHouse MNL offers a variety of classes, and I got to try one of their Fun Rides (which indeed lived up to its name). During the class, I felt my body work up all those muscles from my arms all the way down to my legs. And I’m first to tell you that it’s not easy. It takes a certain stamina to get used to the pace of spin classes. But don’t get me wrong—it’s very enjoyable! The music and the energy in the room, even during the hardest parts of the class, will keep you going, with smile, even. And as they say, “It doesn’t get easier, you only get stronger.”
The vibe after class is also something to look forward to. Despite everyone being tired from cycling, the endorphins and good vibes in the studio still kept on going. As a first timer, the coach also went up to me after class and asked how I was and how I felt about the class.
As someone who has tried different workouts in search of something that will work for me, I can say that spinning is a workout I can stick to. In just under an hour, you’ll be able to burn hundreds of calories while jamming out to choreographed moves of your favorite songs. I honestly can’t wait to try it again!
