For many people (myself included), coffee is life. I can’t function if I don’t have a cup in the morning. Even on weekends, if I don’t get up to brew coffee in the morning, I’ll spend the rest of the day in bed, just watching Netflix and reading. There are different ways to enjoy coffee, from store-bought drinks to 3-in-1 mixes to freshly-brewed concoctions. And those who brew their own coffee are further divided into different camps: pre-ground vs. freshly-ground coffee, French press vs. hand-drip, and many more.

For me, I like to brew my own coffee. I started with a manual grinder so I can have freshly ground coffee every morning. Freshly-ground beans have more flavor and taste better than pre-ground ones. When you grind beans, oxygen gets into them in a process called oxidation, which affects flavor over time. So the best way to enjoy them is as soon as they are ground.

But the thing is, manually grinding them can be tiring, especially if it’s the first thing you do in a day. So I switched to pre-ground beans so I can quickly add them in my French press and have coffee after a few minutes.

Yes, I’ve heard of electric grinders but they’re obviously much more expensive. But one day,  I was browsing through Shopee and saw this rechargeable coffee grinder from Oceanrich at a more affordable price. The best part is it uses a burr grinder, which uses a moving grinder wheel to crush the beans. A burr grinder is recognized as better than a blade grinder for its consistency, quality, and uniformity of the ground beans.

So this coffee grinder that I found is wireless, uses a burr grinder, and is only P2,999. It produces ground coffee good for one cup, which is great if you’re just making a drink for yourself. It also has five grind settings, so you can use the beans for your Moka pot, hand-drip coffee, or French press!

Buy it here for just P2,999
