Modern parenting often comes with a trade-off—while children gain new experiences, many parents quietly lose access to community, creativity, spontaneity, and simple moments of rest. The Village Play Cafe, now open in Salcedo Village, Makati, was created to change that.

More than just a play space, The Village Play Cafe is a thoughtfully designed family-centered destination where children can safely explore and play while parents reconnect with themselves, their communities, and the activities they love. Combining curated play experiences, quality food and coffee, practical family amenities, and programs for both children and adults, the cafe aims to become a modern “village” for urban families.
Founded by four parents—Alecks Mutuc-Chauhan, Dani Osmeña, Inna Cristobal Aligada, and Brian Aligada—the space was intentionally created to serve adults just as much as children. In addition to its play areas and family and work friendly seating, The Village Play Cafe features a dedicated breastfeeding room, diaper-changing stations, comfortable seating, and a welcoming environment designed to make family outings relaxing and enjoyable.

To complement the experience, The Village Play Cafe has partnered with Yardstick, Dripp, and Gourmet Corner to offer quality food and beverages that appeal to both adults and children. The space balances functionality with warmth, creating an elevated but approachable atmosphere for families.

The cafe will also host a wide range of community-driven programs and events organized to support modern family life. Planned programs include music and movement and creative play sessions for children, parenting talks, wellness workshops, meet-ups, and social events that encourage connection among families.
As urban lifestyles continue to evolve, The Village Play Cafe hopes to redefine what family spaces look and feel like in Metro Manila—moving beyond traditional indoor playgrounds to become a true community hub.
