LOOK: This Abandoned Theme Park Was Reportedly Built As A “Pinoy Disneyland” And It’s Eerily Magical

Anyone who has ever loved Disney must’ve had the ultimate dream of visiting Disneyland. Unfortunately, it’s not so easy for us here in the Philippines. The nearest one is in Hong Kong. But did you know that we were supposed to have our very own Pinoy version of “the happiest place on earth”?

In Batangas, there lies Fantasy World. It’s an unfinished and abandoned magical theme park that now draws the attention of the public eye.

Reports say that it was meant to compete with Disneyland. It reportedly started construction in 2001 but was abandoned because of financial concerns.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to experience the fullness of this park’s glory anytime soon. But the good news is that there have been a number of people who checked it out and shared photos for everyone to see.

The park definitely looks like another version of Disneyworld–complete with a magical castle.

There are also the colorful rides that have already been installed. They don’t work, but you can still take cool photos.

She shares in her post that there was quite an eerie feeling when they visited the abandoned park.

Jukay also shared that she felt sad for the place because of its huge potential to make visitors happy.

Fantasy World, though abandoned, can be visited by guests with an entrance fee of Php 1,000 for 10 people. It’s definitely an incredible experience to be inside an abandoned theme park–especially one with magical “Disneyland” themes. This could be your barkada’s next road trip destination!
