Talk about lucky!
According to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), a very, very lucky bettor from Rizal bagged the highly coveted jackpot of the Mega Lotto 6/45 just last Monday. And the winning combination? 08-13-36-22-04-03.

PCSO General Manager Royina Marzan-Garma said that the lucky bettor bought his ticket in an outlet up north at Antipolo, Rizal. The winnings amounted to P72,372,679.40 but will be subjected to a 20% tax, as per the TRAIN law, which means that the government will be deducting more than P14 million, leaving the winner with P57,898,143.52.
However, 36 people fell short from getting the jackpot, with one number away from the winning combination. But not to worry, they still qualify as consolation winners, each one winning P29,210 (amount still subject to tax deductions). Meanwhile, 490 others get P490, while the 4th place winners (28,106 total) take home P24.
As per protocol, the winners, lucky bettor included, are to claim their winnings in PCSO’s main office, which is located at Mandaluyong City. Two valid IDs and the winning ticket are needed for the winners to claim their check.

All lotto draws are aired live every 9 PM at PTV4, with the Lotto 6/42 draw scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. On the other hand, Super Lotto 6/49 draw happens every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, while the Ultra Lotto 6/58 draw takes place on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
