It’s been a year since the nationwide lockdown began to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus and, ever since then, we’ve been working in the comfort of our homes. I’m certain that most of us have already transformed a spot in their bedrooms or houses into a proper workstation—complete with a sturdy desk, a comfy chair, and other décor—but this Filipino decided to revamp his by filling it with the one thing he loves: Pokémon!
Vince Lubuguin is an overseas Filipino worker in Singapore who has been a Pokémon fan since childhood.
“I started making [a] Pokémon-inspired workstation when the COVID-19 virus rose here in Singapore and we went on a 2-month lockdown,” he shared to When In Manila. “We were asked to work from home (being a Technical Officer handling 2D and 3D Architectural drawings) it became very boring seeing my workstation as a plain workspace.”
It was then that he decided to decorate his mini office using his own toy collection and other goods he’s purchased online, changing up the theme now and then to keep it fun and fresh.
“I want to give my own personal touch of fun and unique style on my workstation so I came up with different ideas and designs every 2 weeks,” he said.
“[The] Pokémon 25th Anniversary is coming up so I wanted to share it with you and this might inspire and motivate other people who want to style their own spaces especially those who are [working] from home,” he added.
