On November 23, 2019 at New Frontier Theater, Park Hae Jin held his first fan meeting in the Philippines. He flashed a big smile as he entered the hall to the warm welcome of his fans.
The whole crowd went wild in the first part of the fan meeting. He tried different Filipino foods like adobo, sisig, and lechon manok. He would respond “masarap” every time he would try the local dishes, and would even get a big chunk of food on his spoon to try them again! He also seemed to enjoy the Filipino desserts they let him try, like bibingka and sapin-sapin. He even commented how some of these are similar to some delicacies they have in Korea.
Some lucky fans were randomly picked and had the chance to hear the words “Maganda ka“, “Tara, date tayo“, and “Mahal na mahal na mahal kita!” from Park Hae Jin. Of course, everyone felt the kilig hearing these sweet phrases from the Korean star!
And the kilig didn’t stop there. He also picked fans to re-enact some scenes from his drama shows and even imitate the poster from his TV show, “Bad Guys”. Those fans were so lucky to have the chance to meet him up close, and even throw some lines with him!
To wrap up his first fan meeting in Manila, Park Hae Jin serenaded his fans with what he said is his favorite song—Backstreet Boys’ “As Long as You Love Me”! The crowd sang along and the whole theater was filled with SPARK. Indeed, a night to remember.
Park Hae Jin said that among the countries he visited for his tour, Philippines had the loudest cheers and the most passionate fans—encouraging him to come back to Manila. We will be waiting, Park Hae Jin!
