Senior nurse Alicia Borja was sent home with warm applause and well-wishes from her colleagues at the Northwick Park Hospital in the United Kingdom after beating coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The hospital shared a few photos of the emotional exit last April 16. They said that her fellow frontliners lined the corridors to cheer on Alicia as she was sent home after being discharged.

Alicia fully recovered after spending a month battling COVID-19.
“I just want to thank my colleagues,” Alicia shared. “I’ve got so much love for them. They are such a fantastic team. I haven’t been able to see my daughters for a month so [I] can’t wait to get home.”
The Department of Foreign Affairs recorded a total of 1,395 Filipinos abroad infected with COVID-19 as of April 27. There have been 380 recoveries and 186 fatalities.
