LOOK: Messenger Now Sends a Notification if You Take a Screenshot of Secret Messages

If you love taking screenshots of conversations over Messenger (for a variety of reasons), it might be time to start thinking twice before hitting that screenshot button.

In a post by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, a new update to Messenger includes a few new features to the end-to-end encrypted chats. These protected chats have disappearing features that instantly deletes secret messages after a certain amount of time.

The new update will now send notifications once a user takes a screenshot of a disappearing message. Zuckerberg shows what it would look like in the mentioned post. Check it out below:

Users will also now be able to use GIFs, stickers, and reactions to encrypted chats, too. These end-to-end encrypted chats on Messenger protect your conversations from hackers. This encryption can also be used with video and audio calls.

These new updates can be expected to take effect in the next few weeks.
