LOOK: Mayonnaise Meets Their Muse, Jopay Paguia-Zamora

“Jopay” is an iconic Pinoy rock song by Mayonnaise. Vocalist Monty Macalinao reportedly wrote the hit song in 2003, taking inspiration from seeing Jopay Paguia-Zamora on the noontime show “Eat Bulaga.” Released in the following year, the love song that was dedicated to the member of the Pinoy pop group Sexbomb Girls goes, “Jopay, kamusta ka na? Palagi kitang pinapanood, nakikita…”

Now, the band and their muse have officially met as Jopay joined the Mayo 20 Tour Phase Two’s eighth and final leg. “FINALLY,” she captioned her photo with Monty from the concert in Lucena, along with the hashtag “ang pagtatagpo.”

Meanwhile, a fan pointed out in the comments “sa wakas, sa ilang dekada nilang pangangamusta sa inyo, nagkita na kayo!”

She also shared a video of the crowd on Instagram chanting her name, the title of the classic Mayonnaise song.

Moreover, the band shared a group photo on their official Instagram account, while Monty shared snaps from backstage with Jopay.
