You may have heard the sad news that broke last week that Chester Bennington, Linkin Park’s lead vocalist, passed away at age 41.
Like all of us, his bandmates were also shocked and heartbroken.
Mike Shinoda, Chester’s co-vocalist, was one of the first to express his grief on Twitter.
Shocked and heartbroken, but it’s true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one.

This week, the surviving members of the band released a heartbreaking statement about Chester’s death. They posted it on Facebook.
From this post, it seems the future direction of the band is not yet clear. Moreover, they have already canceled remaining tour dates for One More Light.
Shortly after posting this statement on Facebook, Mike Shinoda shared an old photo of the group via Instagram. He said the photo might have been taken some time in 1997 or 1998, which shows how long the band members have been friends.
