Here’s some inspiring news: the list of private companies helping the fight against the coronavirus or COVID-19 is growing longer, and one of the latest additions is Katinko.
Katinko is a line of ointments and liniments that relieve minor pains, itches, and irritation.
Yesterday, the brand announced that it is donating and distributing its personal protective equipment (PPE) factory “bunny suits.”
According to its post, “During this difficult time, we need to help each other, especially those on the front line to fight COVID-19. So we decided to donate our Greenstone/Katinko PPE factory “bunny suits” to our heroic frontliners.”
It added, “Thank you to Dr. Ryan Paraiso as he’s one of the people who discovered that Greenstone/Katinko PPE factory “bunny suits” are actually an ideal PPE for frontliners. Together with the help of Dr. Ry and volunteers, these items were donated/distributed to several hospitals.”
The hospitals include the Philippine General Hospital, East Avenue Medical Center, Medical City, Makati Medical, Rizal Medical, the University of Santo Tomas, Metro North Medical Center, Delgado, Quezon City General Hospital, Lung Center, Children’s Hospital, San Lazaro, Tondo, San Juan de Dios, Heart Center, Ospital ng Maynila, Cebu Hospitals c/o Jackie, and the St. Jude Family Hospital Los Baños.
Katinko ended its post by reminding its followers that they don’t produce PPE but are donating what they have. They are currently sourcing more to share.
