This is what happens when you pair a beautiful bride who loves to clean with a husband who dabbles in photography as a hobby. Newlyweds Jerick and Manilyn Alcancia settled into their new home just in time for the wife’s birthday, and their idea of celebrating? A heartwarming photoshoot!

According to Jerick, this was quite different from their usual celebration. “Usually kasi kapag birthday nya, umaalis kami. Pero this time, nagdecide siya na dito lang kami magcelebrate,” he told us. To mark Manilyn’s first birthday in their Home Buddies-inspired house, she strapped on her wedding reception gown once again and struck a pose while “performing” everyday stuff around the house.

In the series of photos, she is seen vacuuming and mopping the floor; preparing food and doing the dishes; taking care of their pets, plants, and laundry; and even receiving a parcel from online shopping! Of course, all aesthetically executed by her #InstagramHusband. “From ‘Instagram Boyfriend’ dati, ngayon naging ‘Instagram Husband’ na ako. Promoted na,” he quipped.

He also shared that his now-viral post that captivated netizens’ hearts and sparked a new trend was actually the idea of his elegant muse. “Sinupportahan ko kasi ito din talaga yung bonding namin–magtravel and magphotoshoot,” he added.
“Actually hindi namin inimagine na bebenta yung post ko sa Home Buddies,” he continued. “Ang daming nakarelate and ‘yung iba, planning daw na gumawa ng sarili nilang version.”
