If you’ve never met or heard of her, or merely passed her by in a busy street, you might think at first glance that you just came across Kathryn Bernardo in disguise. But nope, this is Gabrielle “Gabb” Skribikin, a 17-year-old member of local idol girl group MNL48, a.k.a. Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo’s child from the future.

We’re just kidding about that last part, though. But that’s what her fans are saying right now. Gabb has always received compliments for looking like Kath, but after a recent haircut, fans are surprised to see that she now resembles Daniel a bit. This sparked a “fan theory” that Gabb came from the future to meet her young parents.

In reaction to the fan theory, Gabb joked on her Facebook: “Ma at Pa, nandito lang ako kung kailangan niyo ako. (Mom and Dad, I’m just here whenever you need me.)”
Gabb officially joined MNL48, which is the Filipino version and the sister group of JPop group AKB48, in 2018. She is loved for her androgynous beauty which earned her the nickname “Marupok Smash” which means that she is able to enchant people with her visuals. She is also currently the new center for MNL48’s fifth single, “High Tension.”
