Emily Cooper’s Paris chapter isn’t ending anytime soon. Netflix has confirmed that Emily in Paris has been renewed for a sixth season, bringing the series back to where it all started.

After briefly stepping outside the city last season, the show is returning to Paris as Emily continues figuring out work, friendships, and her ever-evolving love life.
Story details haven’t been revealed yet, but the new season is expected to follow Emily’s return to Paris after her time in Venice. Her decision to leave Italy behind signals another reset for the character, especially with familiar faces still very much part of her world.
Romance isn’t the only thing shifting. Mindy’s storyline also takes a new turn, as her engagement to Nicolas moves forward—though not without tension. A comment from Alfie, who still has unresolved feelings, adds uncertainty to what should be a happy moment.
Creator Darren Star previously shared that while the series is open to exploring new settings, Paris will always be its anchor. “The show is Emily in Paris,” he said in an earlier interview with Tudum, noting that any travel outside the city would come naturally from the story rather than replace its core setting.
The comedy-romance series stars Lily Collins as Emily, a marketing professional who relocates to Paris for work and ends up navigating cultural clashes and complicated relationships. Season 5 premiered in December, with the ensemble cast including Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Lucien Laviscount, and more.
No premiere date has been announced yet for season 6, but for now, fans can expect more Paris moments—and plenty of unfinished business—when the show returns.
