Catriona Gray just wrote the sweetest message for her boyfriend, Sam Milby, on his 37th birthday!
The Miss Universe queen shared a photo of them on her Instagram page as she wrote, “Happy Birthday my love @samuelmilby.”
“So sad I can’t be with you today to celebrate (even though you hate birthdays) but I’m so thankful I get to do life with you. ILYSM,” she added.

Many of Catriona’s friends, colleagues, and followers gushed over the sweet note in the comments section.
Catriona recently reunited with her parents in Australia after being away from them for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She said in an interview that she will return to the Philippines next month.
It was just last year on Sam’s birthday when he revealed to the public his relationship with Catriona. “Worth every second of the wait. Most special birthday yet,” he said at the time.
They’ve kept their relationship low-key since then. In July 2020, Sam and Catriona became involved in a controversy after Catriona’s ex-boyfriend, Clint Bondad, suddenly went on an Instagram Story rant which Filipinos speculated was about the couple.
Sam then released an official statement regarding the controversial rumors.
“I cannot simply stand by and allow other people to take control of a narrative that is not theirs to tell. Cat and I have chosen to keep our relationship mostly private. It was only until recently that we made an exception, to lend our voices to charitable causes,” he said.
Sam went on to describe his girlfriend, saying, “Cat is one of the kindest souls I’ve ever known. She is always putting other people first; thinking of how to use her voice and talent to help other people in need. Her grace, dignity, and strength even in the midst of all these false accusations makes me admire & love her even more.”
He ended his message with, “I will always be here for her and will do everything in my power to protect her.”
