Santana known for his hits like “Black Magic Woman,” “Smooth,” “Maria Maria” is working on plans to commemorate not only his anniversary but also 50 years since Woodstock.

“I plan to do something with (his current band, including his wife, drummer Cindy Blackman), hopefully, part of the original band, and also with (former collaborator) Larry Graham,” Santana told RollingStone.com. “So I might be coming to Woodstock with three bands.”

Santana played alongside Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, The Who, Jimi Hendrix and even an unknown artist called Bruno aka Bruce Willis in the iconic show held in Bethel New York August of 1969 in front of 400,000 people, mostly in a daze and high from LSD or “peyote.”

Santana’s set was one of the festival highlights, a 24-hour concert filled with booze, drugs, naked people and rock and roll music. Santana says he won’t mind getting high again if the audience wants to. Santana just turned 70 last July and claimed he feels younger than ever!
