Cherry blossoms – those beautiful pink little flowers that look absolutely beautiful in the spring time. I was born in Virginia when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, but I haven’t seen them since I was a child. The longing to see their beauty has gotten so intense sometimes that I’ve actually thought about going to Japan during the busy sakura season to get a glimpse of them again.

So, when Aianne Pandaan sent us this photo of this beautiful tree in Marikina that she found that looks about as close to cherry blossoms as you can get in Manila, I got pretty excited. Aianne shares that the tree can be found on Flamingo Street at San Roque, Marikina.
