The Zamboanga-bred young weightlifter, the same hometown as champion weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz, ruled the women’s 45kg category in the Youth division after bagging gold medals in different categories like snitch and clean and jerk.
Ramos also managed to clinch medals in the junior division, with another gold medal in snatch (70kgs), bronze in the clean and jerk category (83kgs), and silver in total (153kgs).
In June, the 17-year-old also bagged two gold medals and one silver medal in the 2022 International Weightlifting Federation Youth World Championships held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Way to go, Rose Jean! Salute to all our Pinay athletes training hard and putting their hearts to show that #WomenCan!
