A new batch of emojis is going to be released this year and the list of finalists has just been shared online!
Among the emojis up for approval by the Unicode Consortium Emoji Subcommittee are three new hearts in the colors pink, grey, and light blue, a shaking face, a hand that is pushing either leftwards or rightwards (the skin tone of which can be changed), new animals such as a goose, a jellyfish, and a blackbird, a hyacinth flower, ginger, a pea pod, a folding hand fan, and more.

Take note, however, that this is just a draft list and that the final one will be announced this coming September. Historically, though, most of the drafted emojis make the cut anyway so it’s likely that everything we are seeing in this graphic will be part of the final list.
Winning new emojis will then be rolled out on different devices by the end of the year or the start of 2023.
